Figurative language is a way of speaking or writing which is in a non-literal sense and is designed to have more of an impact about the subject it is referring to. It is used to add a more vivid or imaginative description of something, someone or a situation. Figurative language says something that isn't true in order to EXPRESS something that is true. We're basically lying in order to tell the truth, which is super weird. But it can be so powerful, once you get the hang of it. Created by David Rheinstrom.
